There are a total of eighteen group races over the 5 days with a possible £4 million in prize money up for grabs. Acclaimed as one of the most beautiful racecourses in the country, the standard of horse racing coupled with the fashion, pageantry, tradition and style make it a date not to miss.

Royal Ascot is Britains' most popular race meeting, welcoming approximately 300,000 visitors across the five days. This year Ascot celebrates its’ tercentenary; 300 years at the forefront of horse racing events. Her Majesty The Queen, as an owner and breeder of racehorses, takes a keen interest in the races.

Where is Ascot Racecourse?

Ascot is set in a beautiful wooded countryside adjoining Windsor and Great Park. The racecourse is 50 minutes by train into central London, making it a great day out or short break.

Trains leave London Paddington station for Ascot station at 6 and 36 minutes past the hour during peak times. The cost of a round-trip train ticket from London to Royal Ascot is approximately £11.70 for standard class. Discount train tickets to Royal Ascot are available if you buy train tickets online in advance or with a railcard.
